Pest Mechanics is a trusted pest control company serving Washington, DC, and surrounding areas. Built on professionalism, reliability, and honest service, we help homeowners and businesses manage pest issues with effective, detail-focused solutions.
We are currently looking for a Pest Control Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for completing daily pest control services, following assigned routes, communicating with customers, and applying company-approved treatment methods to help resolve pest concerns safely and effectively.
We offer a competitive annual salary of $48,000 - $54,000. Candidates with an active pest control license may qualify for $54,000 - $60,000 annually. Commission and bonus opportunities may also be available.commissions and bonuses.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow a daily route, ensuring timely and safe arrival to each customer
Promptly respond to customers, front office staff, and/or other technician’s requests/inquiries via phone calls, text, and email
Operate company vehicle safely and ensure the cleanliness of the car and equipment
Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and discuss additional services that meet customer needs for a complete pest management service and warranty
Serve as a liaison to customer issues by identifying the most efficient integrated pest management approach, with the implementation of company policies and procedures
Complete all required service-related documentation daily
A complete record of product usage for every service daily
Efficient money management
Lift and carry up to 100 lbs. or more
Safely use a ladder and other machine-operated tools within the manufacturer’s weight capacity
REQUIREMENTS:
1 year experience preferred
High school Diploma/GED or better
Basic understanding of insect, bird, and rodent biology preferred
Good driving record with an active state license
Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently in the field
Strong organizational skills
Obtain state and company-required licensing and certification
Working knowledge of products and services
In-depth understanding of company standards and policies
Good customer focus
Sharp attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Meticulous and diligent attributes
Great team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision
